Abuse Of Anger | Control The Anger | Free Of Anger

Is Anger Bad For Me?

Remember that anger is not bad. It is a natural emotion that we are all born

with. It is the abuse of anger, the over reaction to situations that trigger

off intense anger that makes it unacceptable in society. It has to be

controlled otherwise it can be bad for you and those around you.

When anyone becomes intensely angry a lot of things can happen in their

bodies. People have been known to have a heart attack or a stroke during or

straight after a fit of anger. This is probably due to the blood pressure

going up when you feel such intense emotion.

Anger causes extreme stress to the body and it could be the cause of cancer

or other diseases. Depression and high blood pressure are also causes of

intense anger.

Many people turn to drugs to calm themselves down and help control the anger

and end up by being dependant on the drugs.

It is better to try and control your anger by avoiding any confrontational

situations and practising self control when you are with a lot of people.

Walk away from a situation if you feel the anger rising in you. Do not let

your emotions get the better of you. You can always be in control of your

emotions if you stay calm and keep reminding yourself of the fact.

Intense anger can become a serious problem if it is not checked in time.

It is nice to know that it is a problem that can be overcome. You have to

want to overcome it and by striving to change your way of thinking and

avoiding any situation that you know will become confrontational you will

with time find that your desire to lose your temper and always be the winner

in every argument has gone.

You could become depressed and anxious about your violent anger.

If you anger is caused by any other symptoms that you cannot control get

professional advice to help you.

As I have said before, no one will entirely be free from anger as it is a

human emotion and there are times when we should be angered by something. It

is only when this emotion becomes too intense and begins to rule our lives

that we need see it as a problem.

You will not want your closest family and friends to avoid you because you

are always angered about something. They will not want to spend time in your

company and you will also be giving them reason to be worried about you.

Anger can cause you to have bad relationships with your colleagues. You will

feel like an outcast because no one will want to be your friend.

Your anger could lead to you damaging property that does not belong to you or

hurting people. It appears that while many people are angered they do not

realise what they are doing. This is a dangerous state of affairs.

When anger runs out of control there could be serious consequences. People

could be hurt by violence and property can be damaged. It is not worth it

just to win an argument. Avoid getting yourself into a situation where you

want to prove that you are in control. By practising restraint you will

prove that you are in control of your emotions and not the other way around.

Instead of letting this anger control you turn it into healthy energy. Next

time you feel your anger flaring up go outside and kick a ball. Jog a few

blocks and make yourself get into a sweat. You will feel great and the anger

will have subsided without ever coming to the fore.
